Bacon bits....a great fridge store!

Bacon bits…….
………….i always keep a packet or 2 of these in the fridge.  Great for
  • Sprinkling over salads
  • Pastas
  • Pizzas
  • Quiches
And lots more!  Here they are in pasta I made for dinner.  Here’s what I did:
(made for 2) Bacon cream & white wine pasta:

  • Boil some spaghetti pasta as normal
  • Soften ½  chopped red onion and 1 garlic clove in flora cuisine in a pan over med to high heat
  • Add the 2 packet of bacon bits and cook for a minute or 2
  • Add a good splash of white wine and reduce (cook down until liquid reduces)
  • Then add 200ml cream
  • Season with salt & pepper, a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley and oregano
  • Simmer for about 10 minutes
  • Drain spaghetti and add to the bacon mix and combine
  • Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley, a crumble of feta on top and yummy garlic bread on the side
